For this year’s Record Store Day we’ll be playing an unplugged set in sit down off-licence Walkley Beer Co. You’ll be able to buy and browse records from Tonearm Vinyl. The 52 and 95 buses both run up to Walkley every ten minutes. There are some lovely cafes and if you want to work up a mild beer thirst go for a wander in Rivelin Valley first. Free entry, donations for the bands very welcome. MORE INFO

Wednesday 29 April – The Eagle, Manchester
Really happy to be supporting Diane Cluck again. Solo set. TICKETS

Saturday 9 May – The Gentle Good @ 99 Mary Street, Sheffield

I’m chuffed to be putting on Gareth Bonello, aka The Gentle Good, in May. I loved Gareth’s set at last year’s Green Man festival and we played together in Cardiff on my tour earlier this year, when I swore I would get him over to Sheffield.

It’s at 99 Mary Street which is an artspace and venue on a wee cobbled street within strolling distance of the city centre, sort of between Decathlon and BBC Radio Sheffield.

Sunday 26 July – Tramlines Festival (with Cornerstone Brass)
This year you’ll find us on the Devonshire Green stage (where the main stage has been in previous years). I’ll be joined by a full band, so Neil on drums and Chris on bass as well as Oliver, Katherine and Hannah, but also by an ensemble from Cornerstone Brass Band.

Tickets for Tramlines are on sale now.TICKETS

Speaking of Cornerstone, they were in the studio with me just yesterday:

Working on a little something…
